Lehigh Valley Ironpigs

Over the past two summers, I have photographed the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs, a Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Here are some of my favorite action shots.

Baseball 101

The Philadelphia Phillies’ Baseball 101 clinic and luncheon for women is an annual event that allows female fanatics to catch a glimpse into the life of a Phillie. The day-long event, which was created seven years ago and has grown astronomically since, includes full access to the field, dugout and locker room. Participants also gained a behind the scene perspective of how Phanavision works, and worked one-on-one with Phillies’ coaches during hitting, fielding, pitching and baserunning clinics.

Beautiful Philadelphia (part II)

Beautiful Philadelphia (part I)

For the past 27 years, I’ve made Philadelphia my home. I think it is one of the most picturesque cities, with inspiring beauty at every turn. Here are some photos I’ve captured while strolling throughout the City of Brotherly Love.

Spectrum demolition

The Spectrum certainly went out in style on Nov. 23 as several Philadelphia sports legends who once played there joined about 800 fans gathered in the parking lot on the south side of the arena to say goodbye.

"Today was really great. It was sad, but it's nice to see all the people who made the Spectrum what it is here. Today is a real symbol of the togetherness this city has," said John Anderson, of Williamstown, N.J. "Sports teams since 1967 really have brought this city together and given us a reason to shake each other's hand."

Anderson, 22, said goodbye to the Spectrum in his own personal way. Dressed in his Ron Hextall jersey and an authentic Irish kilt, he played God Bless America on the bagpipes.

The Spectrum's demolition is the first step toward erecting a retail and entertainment complex - called Philly Live! - that will showcase shops, bars and restaurants, and possibly a hotel, on the expansive acreage at Broad and Pattison.
